Compost & Soil Health: Restoring Health & Rebalancing the Climate

In partnership with Million Acre Challenge, in this this webinar, presenters Calla Rose Ostrander and Jean Bonhotal will present the latest benefits composting provides to the soil, plants and climate.

Calla Rose Ostrander will provide an overview of the effects of composting on carbon, water, and nutrient cycles, and the climate more broadly as well as provide an update on the NRCS Interim Standard for Carbon Amendments.

Jean Bonhotal will pull from her 25 years in education around composting food, manure, animal carcasses, and compost quality and use, as well as her research characterizing and developing beneficial uses for organic residuals and balancing soils to maximize crop production.

The registration fee for this webinar is $20. Participation in this series is free for farmers.
