Grazing Strategies for Resilience and Profitability

Interested in experimenting with no-till annuals, increasing your organic matter, and decreasing your input costs without sacrificing the well-being of your animals? This is the workshop for you!

Join Future Harvest, UMES Extension small ruminant specialist Dr. E. Nelson Escobar, UME pasture specialist Amanda Grev, NRCS and Million Acre Challenge at Pop’s Old Place to learn how owner/operator Darlene Goehringer successfully converted sandy fields into green pastures in just 4 years.

Darlene raises Randall cows, Mulefoot pigs, and Katahdin and Dorper Cross sheep, breeds selected for enhanced flavor, adaptation to our climate, and low input costs.

Following the workshop, we’ll share a lunch featuring Pop’s Old Place hamburgers. The registration fee includes lunch.
